"Position Overview

- A Pre Sales Specialist is a product or services architect with deep technical and industry expertise.
- A Pre Sales Specialist is a ""Lead"" in regard to solution architecture with solid banking industry and trend knowledge. The Pre Sales Specialist will master the Diebold Nixdorf portfolio of solutions with specialized focus on the product offering. The Pre Sales Specialist will act as a solution advisor into the sales organization and directly with customers promoting the strategic roadmap of the portfolio.
- The Pre Sales Banking HW specialist is also the product group interface to the segment/area, oversees subject matter expertise, process efficiency and implementation of the portfolio. He/She is the voice of segment/customers in the product group and the voice of Systems group in the segment. You are responsible for

- Engages in the sales process in strategic discussions on roadmap, solutions and thought-leadership/strategy with prospects. (CTO level, Tech. or Business)
- Solution architect in shaping deals, best practice and solution blueprints
- Works with other Pre Sales resources on complex deals to bring multiple DN products or services to clients while collaborating with Solution Sales Experts
- Constantly monitoring solution portfolio for changes / additions and impact to different environments
- Assist with scoping discussions and delivering functional specifications for product or service integrations to third party systems
- Engage with solution enablement functions on the client and DN side to develop an enablement plan
- Provide industry and domain expertise to clients
- Assist in sales enablement training, as well as roadshow and customer workshops in the Customer Experience Centers
- Work with Solution Sales Executives on new opportunities within the new portfolio of products
- Responds to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs with Solution Sales Executives
- Owns systems strategy definitions support for top accounts in the Segment (Account reviews, Strategic roadmap workshop, Key account manager support)
- Input and review the future product requirements and needs (voice of the segment/customers)
- Review and validate product strategy and portfolio roadmap development with segment and product management
- Implementation of portfolio strategy with segment (go-to-market execution)
- Is the last recourse escalation point for Systems related topics (Supply Chain, Organization / Process, Product, …) in case of major customer or segment leader request
- Enables the customer facing portion of new product introduction
- Assists supply chain on the maintenance of an appropriate demand planning for product for the assigned territory
- Reviews and approves Custom Build request (business case / strategic relevance) Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry with a focus on software and services solutions
- Creativity needed to anticipate market trends and needs and identify new solutions to satisfy those needs
- A proven track record for meeting and exceeding performance objectives
- Possess a high level of demonstrated leadership, oral and written communication, presentation, critical thinking and strategic planning skills
- Must be assertive, influential and able to motivate all levels of associates, peers and executive leadership
- Must be adept at team building and collaborating
- Excellent conceptual and technical understanding of their domain of expertise
- Mature knowledge about state-of-the-art software trends and technologies
- Deep knowledge about retail banking industry and related typical business processes
- Experience with a CRM system, preferably Salesforce.com
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Capabilities to work in virtual and international teams
- Strong competence in customer facing environment and the ability to communicate to executives on specific practice from a business perspective
- Ability to identify, structure and articulate solutions both tactically (situational basis) and strategically; with the ability to recognize patterns of needs
- Position will require up to 50% travel
- Other duties as assigned or required
