We are looking for a Plant Engineer to manage the supply and distribution (include of in-house stand by Gen-Set) of electricity to ensure that it is at all times safe, reliable, secure and sustainable. It also covers low, medium and high voltage installations. Liaise with the factory Safety Officer on matters relating to safety Health and Environmental and side Security. To take care of electrical Schedule maintenance plans, tasks and resources in cooperation with engineering and production at the right time and quality to maintain asset reliability and continuously improve the overall plant performance. To develop and establish programs to ensure employee safety and agency compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations for specified facilities, operations and the visiting public.
A day in the life of...
Propose and implement work processes, procedures and technical resources relating to the electrical team. Coordinate personnel (e.g. technicians, contractors etc.) to ensure the Automation and MES objectives are satisfied.
Lead and coordinate the electrical team and maintain competencies, motivation and performance to achieve the team mission and objectives. Propose and monitor the Automation and MES in accordance with the key performance indicators.
Propose and control the electrical component of the site M&I budget and any capital projects
Ensure that all personnel performing electrical related activities are legally trained and certified. Always ensure safe installations and operations through proper design, protection systems, procedures and training.
Develop and implement maintenance and inspection plans to ensure reliability, sustainability and security of electrical distribution infrastructure. Coordinate with Production, Quality Management and Engineering to resolve Automation and MES issues.
Ensure at all times safe installations and operations through proper design, protection systems, procedures and training.
Liaise with the site Safety Officer on electrical matters relating to safety, electricity distribution, energy conservation, legal compliance, complaints etc. Involve in Continuous Improvement (CI) in Automation and MES with the aim of achieving optimized plant performance. Responsibilities relating to the Maintenance and Improvement of Automation and MES assets:
Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance and project work by electricians and contractors.
Ensure proper management of electrical documents (manuals, diagrams, instrument data sheet, software packages/licenses) through efficient filing and archiving procedures.
Initiate and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) in electricity supply and distribution with the aim of achieving optimized plant performance.
Execute the maintenance of the electrical equipment in accordance with the Nestlé Maintenance Strategy as the multi-disciplined approach to proactively maintain/improve the fixed assets and Asset and Maintenance Management (AMM) as the process to manage the asset lifecycle.
Monitor plant and equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned and unplanned downtime.
Ensure that new installations are designed with a high degree of flexibility to better enable the operations to adjust to a changing environment keeping in mind safety and the issues relating to the environment.
Coordinate with Production, Quality Management and Engineering to resolve any electrical issues.
Liaise with Production, Quality and Engineering to resolve technical issues.
Drive the correction of process related product quality or operational performance deviations.
Facilitate and coordinate the introduction and implementation of new processes/technologies with local, corporate and PTC engineering.
Safeguard ‘Product Mastership’ technical knowledge and documentation.
What will make you successful
Minimum 3 years experience in a technical field, preferably in a food manufacturing facility.
Knowledge of Electricity, in low voltage, medium & high voltage installations and PLC/HMI programming
Good knowledge of local electrical code and standards.
Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety, hygienic engineering and Nestlé Quality System.
Analytical skills in Problem Solving
Maintenance & Improvement, Energy & Project Management skills
