Responsibilities:
-Responsible for part and component sourcing, selecting and managing suppliers to achieve competitive cost, quality and delivery performance.
-Negotiate with suppliers on lead time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the Company.
-To monitor and administer the performance of supplier during the contract term and prior to the expiry of the contract inclusive of conducting supplier performance evaluation, updating performance of suppliers and communicating feedback to suppliers for improvement.
-Secure and analyze market information to support purchasing decisions.
-Perform feasibility study of localization projects.
-Assist Engineering team on costing of new product development.
-Work closely with Suppliers, Engineering team and BDI Technical department in new product development, qualification, transition and production trial run.
-Perform technical inspection on new sample from local suppliers, when required.
-Provide technical support to local production including setting up new production line, maintenance of plant equipment and sourcing of spare parts.
-Adopt purchasing guideline from HQ.
-Establish strategic relationship with key suppliers who are aligned to the company's needs and nature of business.
-Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions.

Requirements:
-Bachelor of Degree in Mechanical/Automation Engineering or its equivalent.
-Minimum 3 years' experience in sourcing/procurement activity involving sheet metal part, wire mesh product and plastic parts.
-Able to work out costing for part cost and tooling cost estimation.
-A strong team player, excellent negotiation and effective communication skill in dealing within the supply chain is a must.
-Able to work under pressure with least supervision, self-motivated, customer and result oriented minded.
-Familiar in manufacturing of sheet metal part, wire mesh production, plastic injection and electrical control panel (enclosure) is an advantage.
-Experience in sourcing of raw material (steel coil, wire rod, plastic resin), price and stock movement monitoring will have added advantages.
-Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control will have added advantages
