Hire.Seniors is pleased to offer this role as part of the MySTEP 2021 Programme, aimed at providing short term employment for those currently unemployed or in between jobs. The successful candidate, if selected to the Programme as a Participant, will be hosted by the Company named below for up to 6 months. The Company is now looking to hire a Procurement Operations Manager The Purpose of Role: The MYSG (Malaysia and Singapore) procurement is at the centre of delivering divisional / business priorities and growth – spread across Raw Material, Packaging Material, 3PM, Logistics & MBS. This role requires a procurement professional passionate to Learn & take up new challenges. Manage Packaging Procurement for MYSG across packaging streams (Bottles & closures, flexibles, decorations, customer packaging, folding cartons, Tea). Drive and support MYSG market procurement aligned with global direction and requirement of the Divisions delivering a competitive and differentiating value chain for the business together with Suppliers and internal stakeholders. Value cover all elements including cost competitiveness, innovation, quality and service and sustainability. Work with global / regional teams to leverage on global deals for qualifying feedstocks Plan and lead negotiations making use of Digital tools like E tendering as applicable Supply Market Intelligence and Analysis - Collecting Relevant Information: Analyzing Supply and Demand Market within depth understanding of technologies, cost drivers and price trends & insights. Manage supply, invoicing and operational P2P issues that may arise between Suppliers and Unilever. Run cross-team / stakeholders ideation workshops on savings. Execute cost reduction & inflation mitigation opportunities and cash generation programs adding to the procurement targets. Drive and Support Sustainability programs in line with Unilever vision and commitments Ensure fundamentals for MYSG market are fully met and track underlying KPIs (USQS / RSP compliance, Resilience, contract, specs sign off, OTIF, quality incidents, complexity reduction) Bridge the communications, material price collation and query management (invoicing, orders, MDM, etc) between packaging vendors and MYSG collaborative manufacturers Ensure medium and long term capacity creation for all elements of the packaging to support business needs. Prepare and feed periodic material price forecast to the business to support pricing decisions Mold management for Rigid plastics • Maintain regular engagement with suppliers and key Unilever stakeholders, to review/resolve relationship issues and develop future business opportunities. Engage with R&D for alternate supplier & material approvals. Periodic packaging portfolio scorecard/report update and preparation Represent packaging portfolio for briefs to internal or external audience Key Stakeholders: Internal: Procurement (Global, Cluster, Local), R&D (Regional, local), Supply chain (Regional, local) Marketing (Regional, local), Finance, CD, All key stakeholders (WL1 - WL3). External: External suppliers, consultants / agencies. Travel: 25% within Malaysia & Singapore (to be evaluated as communicating normalizes) Requirements Essential Experience/Skill/Knowledge: University degree / MBA Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent 4 to 6 years relevant procurement / supplychain experience in MNC context Negotiation skills, comprehensive understanding of procurement principles, procedures and processes. Excellent IT skills and experience with procurement systems SAP, Power BI, etc Basic Finance, Sales and Marketing knowledge Ability to proactively identify and solve issues using strong analytical and strong decision-making skills. Ability to engage with cross functional stakeholders Learning mindset • Self-starter & independent operator Bias for action and strong executor • Partnering, Influencing and collaboration Driving sustainability through Procurement Desirable Experience/Skill/Knowledge: Understanding and experience of packaging manufacturing/procurement Experience in working in a virtual team • Demonstrate project and information management skills.
