Job Description
ABOUT YOUR ROLE: Your responsibilities will be 2 fold - 1. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of the regional paper strategy at sourcing perspective for APAC (Excluding China). 2. You will be the ASEAN Procurement Champion and business partner with ASEAB gm on procurement for all categories.You can be based in any ASEAN Countries. And will report to the Procurement Director for APAC (Excluding China), based in Singapore. You will be leading one member team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Develop regional paper sourcing strategy and execute the plan.
- Lead APAC supplier negotiations and contract execution.
- Identify and deliver cost savings targets across APAC
- Work with key internal stakeholders to implement best practices and ensure operational efficiencies.
- Categorize spend data in support of overall Procurement strategies
- Coordinate and consolidate multi-site / local unit paper and emulsion Procurement process
- Support procure-to-pay process improvements within the region
- Analyze suppliers and markets to identify trends, industry dynamics, opportunities for marketplace advantage, and new ideas for products, processes and services
- Gather information about competitors’ materials, technologies, supply base, sourcing strategies, etc. to benchmark competitors’ costs, service, etc.
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.
- Business Partnering with ASEAN GM on procurement for all categories.
- Part of the ASEAN Leadership Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Paper industry experience with purchasing background in an MNC.
- Experience negotiating and developing contracts is required
- Experience in Supplier Management across geographies is required.
- Ability to collaborate across global/regional teams.
- Knowledge of paper and pulp are also preferred.
- Experience in Managing & Mentoring team is required.
