Product Development Engineer Job Description As Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp. Other responsibilities include:
- Make significant contributions to design, development and validation of testability circuits.
- Perform evaluation, development and debug of complex test methods.
- Develops and debugs complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment.
- Creates and tests validation and production test hardware solutions.
- Tests, validates, modifies and redesigns circuits to guarantee component margin to specification.
- Analyzes and evaluates component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability.
- Analyzes early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities.
- Creates and applies concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints.
You will be working on at least one of the following areas:
- Characterization test program development class, sort, content
- Production and qualification test program development.
- Product and test program transfer and release.
- First silicon support and debug
- Work in HVM Ramp supporting test time reduction, high fallout, yield and stability issue.
- Enabling and verifying for test development/module/content
Qualifications
You should have at least 8 years+ of Test Engineering experience, with Test Program development on High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) testers/ Platforms.
Other qualifications include:
- Degree or higher
- Experience in areas such as Power, FIVR, Thermal, Sort, Content/module related experienced
- Advanced ability in programming and scripting
- Experience in handling testers such as v93k
