Product & Development Engineer

Job ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of new product lines and enhancements to existing products.
Analyze and determine the best use of resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to achieve production and development goals.
Set a budget, plan & assign job duties, determine equipment and supplies required, and build a production schedule.
Work with Assistant Manager to analyze Planned schedule, job orders and develop production tasks and schedule.
Plan and assign daily job duties to workers.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency, quality, and profitability of product development processes.
Conduct research and development activities to innovate and improve manufacturing processes, tools, and technologies.
Oversee the maintenance and utilization records of molds, tools, jigs, and dies.
Manage and motivate staff, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and safety standards.
Monitor production progress, ensuring it stays on schedule and within budget.
Regularly meet with production teams to discuss status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Identify & look out for problems hampering effectiveness.
Investigate problems, analyze root causes and define resolutions.
Ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.
Work with production teams to ensure cost-effective, high quality and timely delivery of products.
Assist Production Manager & Production Team in developing new and cost-effective ways to improve quality and productivity.
Handle and take proper action on major incidents, accidents and customer complaints in production department.
Lead Production Team in developing new ways of manufacturing, improving existing manufacturing processes, recommend process improvements to enhance production quality and capacity, recommend changes in workflow, operations and equipment to maximize production efficiency.
Responsible for the administration task of the production department and ensuring all documents & files are being organized, filled and kept in order.
Prepare and verify the following reports: Production Daily Output Report, Production Monthly Output and Capacity Utilization Report, Production Monthly Down Time Summary Report.
Develop training programs and provide additional training to staff to meet production and development goals.
Establish and enforce company health and safety procedures for staff.
Communicate any problems or obstacles to top management.
Enforce company policies and guidelines.
Execute the relevant powers of the production manager according to the relevant authorization.
Perform any other appropriate task and responsibility that may be assigned by Management from time to time.
AuthoritiesMake recommendations on the company's basic management system and daily administrative regulations.
Propose the allocation of resources for the department.
Supervision, inspection, assessment and work guidance for the work in the department.
All other powers granted by the manager.
Internal RelationshipCollaborate with Production Assistant Manager, Production Executive, Officers, Supervisors, Line Leaders, Technicians and Operators within the department.
External RelationshipEngage with various departments within the company.
Qualifications, Experience, SkillBachelor's degree or more than 3 years' work experience in a similar capacity.
Strong planning and prioritization skills, with the ability to multitask.
Creative problem-solving abilities and proven leadership skills.
Experience in directing and supervising production personnel.
Technical knowledge and proficiency in all phases of manufacturing processes.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or DraftSight.
Experience with laser cut / turret punch programming and press break.
