About the Job :
The Product Expert executes the Product Expert function in-scope under the guidance of the Regional Product Expert Manager. Strives for product excellence and drives continuous improvement for our products and services. He/She is leading the technical assessment and implementation of PD cocoa projects in the region. He/She is a member of Global Cocoa Component committee (GCC), governance the componenet model according to global guideline, responsible for quality performance assessment of Cocoa component model in Asia Pacific. Consolidates and shares in-depth knowledge within PD. The PD Product Expert gets guidance and support from the Regional Product Expert Manager on complex activities, ad hoc requests, and key issues in the execution of his duties. He/She has a shared responsibility in bringing innovation to the Asia market.

Key responsibilitiesinclude:

Act as the heart of the R&D department by consolidating and sharing in depth product knowledge, gained internally or through customer interaction, with all of R&D and our customers. Lead technical product development and ensure best in class product solutions as well as world-class product ranges. Ensure excellence in execution by ensuring a timely delivery and outstanding speed to market in collaboration with Customer R&D. Strive for product excellence, raw material knowledge. Liaise with other functional and operational area managers such as QA, sourcing and/or OSCO to understand their current and future product testing needs. Interact closely with Global R&D to ensure that Product Experts apply pushed innovation correctly. Define requirements and specifications for new products, new raw materials and evaluate all aspects going into a new product launch. Check and confirm feasibility of transfers by acting as the interface between the different functions involved. Interact closely with R&D Technical Lifecycle Management to manage the product portfolio effectively and efficiently. Act as a sparring partner to Customer R&D by challenging customer requests. Ensure knowledge transfer beyond location and plant by leveraging the global network or R&D Product Experts. Lead local product development platforms. Act as internal knowledge champion and provide specific product and raw materials training. Maintain a good knowledge of regulatory requirements for your area of expertise.

About you :
- Min. Bachelor Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry or other equivalent background.
- Min 5 years experience in product development / product applications / process in food industry(advantage if having relevant experience from cocoa industry).
- Fluent in English (written and oral) is required.

- Excellent analytical, multitasking and sensory evaluation skills.

- Ability to work independently and under pressure .
- Willingness to learn and take over new responsibilities and challenges
