Job Description

The Production Executiveleads and develops associates in the shift.The role drives the successful delivery of all key activities in the shift related to producing the demand requested by Planning and supply, Safety Health and Environment - SHE, quality, labour allocation, optimized cost and production execution. The Shift Leader develops a culture of ownership in the team with high action orientation and commitment for results which delivers manufacturing excellence. Delivers the shift contributes to the Compelling Business Need - CBN, long term (Value Creation Plan - VCP) and mid-term (Annual Operations Plan - AOP) plans cascaded from the area strategy which continuously over-delivers on company goals.

Safety Health and Environment:

- Delivers a Safety Health and Environment culture and role model behaviours. Responsible for Safety Health and Environment requirements and legislation implementation and complies to legal and corporate standards & policies
- Instructs employees regarding job-related hazards and corresponding safety procedures. Checks if (new) employees and temporary workers possess sufficient skills and knowledge to execute the job safely
- Supervises employees to ensure they follow the safety instructions and work safely & orderly using as an example Lock Out Tag Out Test Out – LOTOTO and permit to work – PTW.
- Immediately corrects any substandard condition or unsafe behaviour. Encourages feedback routine between peers through using applicable tools such as Behaviour Observation Safety – BOS. Checks that this is done to the required standard
- Ensures safe machine and work conditions, as well as availability Personal Protective Equipment – PPE and necessary safety tools at the start of every shift.
- Participates in the Risk Assessment process as required
- Checks if a work permit is adequate and execution is according to plan; takes care of technician’s / contractor’s and third-party employees safety during shift
- Reports unsafe situations and ensures adequate corrective measures are being taken on time
- Ensures that the workplace is safe, clean and well ordered. Makes proposals to improve workplace safety
- Stops work when safety is at risk. Escalates with sufficient anticipation what capacity and support are required to get the job done safely
- Reviews Safety performance as part of the daily Operations Performance meetings Structure - OPS
- Create a Safe and Healthy work environment by leading incident investigations and escalation of unsafe conditions and behaviours.
- Escalates and implement solutions to impact risks in ergonomics and working conditions. Quality:

- Delivers a Quality culture and role model behaviours. Responsible for Quality requirements and legislation implementation and complies to legal and corporate standards & policies. Leadership:

- Drives manufacturing excellence within the shift team through engaged leadership and coaching. Develops and coaches the associates in the team to close the competency gap.
- Implement Manufacturing Operating System - MOS roll out plan with a hands-on approach through using and owning the relevant tools .
- Builds an excellent and effective shift team. Leadership:

- Leads and role models output of Manufacturing Operating System - MOS supporting roll-out and further development with a hands-on approach
- Drive zero loss, defects and 100% engagement culture by leveraging continuous improvement approach
- Finding the correct resources to build competency in the shift team and ensures appropriate training is applied for new/improved processes when rolled out
- Audits consistency of competency and processes in the teams Delivery & Cost:

- Takes full responsibility for shift losses and shift performance and creates a strong understanding of the team's contribution to the Compelling Business Need – CBN.
- Execute the daily processes and labour to deliver the production plan.
- Identifies areas of best practice and collaborates with other shifts to generate, replicate and share with stakeholders.
- Creates standards.
- Supports the team to select the correct tool to eradicate losses.
- Updates relevant information, tracking and reporting systems. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, it is required of you to have:

- At least a Diploma/Degree in Engineering/Chemical or other related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years experience inmanufacturing environment (strong preference in Fast Moving Consumer Goods)
- Team player, able to work in a small team;
- Profound knowledge and experience of Operational Excellence methodologies like Total Productive Maintenance (prerequisite), Lean and 6 Sigma.
