As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for all production outputs across the CNC / precision engineering. •
Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
• Oversee a workforce of 30 to 40 employees in the manufacturing department including CNC Milling / Milling / EDM / QC & Assembly / Packing / Grinding / Wire cut.
• Familiar with the process flow for each department including of CNC Milling / Milling / EDM / QC & Assembly / Packing / Grinding / Wire Cut
• Overseeing the production process, drawing up to production schedule.
• Ensuring that production is cost effective
• Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality
• Working out the human and material resources needed.
• Drafting a timescale for the job.
• Monitoring the quality standard and the production processes and adjusting
schedule as needed.
• Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment.
• Monitoring product standard and implementing / improving the cycle time and
quality control programmers.
? Working with MD to implement the company's policies and goals.
? Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.
? Supervising and motivating a team of workers.
? Reviewing the performance of subordinates.
? Identify training needs.
? To ensure the implementation of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
? Other responsibilities will include tooling (cost and availability – working with external tooling companies), store and logistics would be an added advantage.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-A proven background at least 5 to 8 years working experience as a Production / Manufacturing Manager, ideally from a Precision Engineering / CNC Machining environment
-Qualified with at least Diploma or Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, with training ideally across Health & Safety, Quality and Continuous Improvement.
-You must be able to demonstrate excellent people management skills, from shop floor to board level
