JOB DESCRIPTION
• To ensure all supplies/goods are supplied on time.
- Ensure and check the stock on hand.
- Analyses the consumption of every item.
- Analyses recent and forecast occupancy.
- Analyses hotel F&B operation.
- Analyses hotel engineering dept. operation, prepare for Eng. spare parts and maintains.
- Analyses the consumption of` fuel, gas, etc. and ensure the stock is sufficient.
- Familiar with local markets and communicates with alternative departments.
• Market survey
- Familiar with Local Market and communicate with concerned departments.
- To analyses the hotel products market and make sure of supplies.
• Ensure the quality of products
- To familiarize with the sorts of hotel products.
- To ensure the quality of products.
- To ensure the quality of the special product.
• Ensure to purchase the best quality at the best price.
- To make sure to get at least three quotations.
- Analyses quotations and choose the best one.
- To confirm the seafood price and update the price with the cost controller.
• Ensure the foods to be purchased on time
- To update the purchasing status.
- To communicate the user's dept. with not available goods and the delay arrival of the goods.
COMMUNICATION
• To communicate user department
- To update the dept. feedback on products.
- To give the dept. proposal on products.
- To introduce the new product to dept.
• To communicate suppliers
- To clarify the supplier's ability to the quality of the service and quality of the products.
- To update the supplier’s reputation, working relationship, etc. constantly.
- To respect suppliers.
• Co-Operation
- To get suggestions from the user dept. on purchasing.
- To cooperate with other sisters - hotel on every available aspect.
TRAINING
• To conduct training based on department training needs.
• To conduct the training based on staff performance appraisals.
• To conduct staff training on job morality.
OTHER STANDARD RESPONSIBILITIES
• Complies with the company policies.
• Works within all pre-set budgetary limits.
• Takes on other tasks in addition to the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.
• Develops and updates policies and manuals, as related to the division/department, for implementation in the field, while ensuring compliance to the same for
consistency across the group.
• Actively participates in and leads recruitment and talent development for the division/department, to meet both current and future needs
• It is a “brand ambassador” at all times and ensures brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.
• Models the company’s culture, vision, mission and core values at all times.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Good communication skill
• Experience in e-procurement and Materials Control system.
• Apparent planning ability
• Displays initiative
• Commitment to professional values
• Language: Good command in oral and written English
• Other Languages are desired
EXPERIENCE
• At least 8 years of purchasing experience with 4 years or more in an international class hotel is preferred.
