QA Team Lead
Job Description
GSC's (Global Supply Chain) systems infrastructure team under RDSE (Research and Development Strategic Enabling) is looking for someone passionate, creative and ready to tackle interesting new challenges. We offer an exciting opportunity to join a team responsible for internal business system solutions supporting a variety of areas such as EDA license management, contingent workforce optimization, design IP enablement, test & measurement lab equipment procurement. As part of our team you will analyze important business problems, clarify complex requirements, architect effective solutions, and drive delivery of robustly featured, high quality, user friendly, business systems built on the latest web technology. A successful candidate will:
- Build up and lead a small team of engineers to define our Quality Assurance (QA) processes thru automation
- Set up and refine the needed automation framework Work closely with the product owner and development team to translate requirements into test cases and recommend solutions to improve the product usability and quality
- Be responsible for developing test cases and performing UAT/QA testing (i.e. Functionality, Regression, Stability, Performance Testing)
- Set goals, track and report out on defects, fixes and other quality metrics
- Ensure the development team understands and follows the quality control processes
- Be accountable for delivering high quality software
Qualifications
BS CompSci or similar field, MS degree a plus
7+ years of relevant work experience in Web Application QA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, stakeholder management
Solid understanding of web application architectural design, including performance, security and usability considerations
Deep understanding of web application development, SCRUM methodology, data modeling, ensuring quality with user acceptance testing
Experienced in using test technologies but not limited to: Selenium/Protractor , C# , TFS , Jenkins , Application Performance Monitoring (Azure Insights/New Relic)
