Qaqc Resident Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities: 1. To extend support in the implementation of Project Quality, Safety and health Plan and other relevant procedures and practices at project level. 2. To assist in maintaining quality, safety and health related documents. 3. To archive quality, safety and health records at the end of projects. 4. To randomly check incoming materials and work-in-progress to ensure conformances to the project requirements. 5. To liaise with client and consultants on quality, safety and health related issues. 6. To coordinate necessary testing to be carried out at site. 7. To liaise with Quality, Safety and health Department in Head Office in matters related to the continuous implementation of Quality, Safety and health Management System. 8. To assist Project Manager in the day-to-day implementation of the system. 9. To be accountable for the safety and health performance of the workplace. 10. To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior. Requirements: 1. B.Sc. or higher degree in Civil Engineering. 2. Membership of a professional engineering institution. 3. At least 15 years of experience in site supervision and construction management of civil construction projects, preferably with some small design and build projects. 4. Ability to lead a supervision team. 5. Fluent verbal and written communication skills in the English Language. 6. Computer literate. 7. Good communication skill and experience in liaising with subcontractors, consultant and authorities. 8. Knowledge in applicable legal and other requirements and OSH practices.
