Requirements:1) Degree in Civil / Structural / Building / Construction Engineering or equivalent.
2) Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Quality management in ready-mixed concrete or precast concrete industry.
3) Prosses excellent problem definition / analytical and problem-solving skills.
4) Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent customer relation skills.
5) Able to work independently and possess a proactive attitude.
6) A team player with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize tasks.
7) Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities:Overview
As a Quality Control Engineer, you will actively be involved in defining, developing and monitoring of corporate Quality Policy, Project Quality Plan, Product Quality Control Plan, Material Quality Plan, physical inspections of fabricated precast components, identifying areas of weaknesses for improvement, quality improvement methods and proposing rectifications on any defects found. You will ensure that the documentation system is always up to date and in line with ISO 9001 ' Quality Management System and compliance to SS EN 206 certification standards and guidelines, and customers expectation.
Responsibilities
1) Responsible for inspection of incoming raw materials, work in progress and outgoing precast concrete products and record all non-conformity in QC Report.
2) Provide support and assistance to management and production personnel to achieve product quality objectives in a timely manner.
3) Promote quality focus culture to all stakeholders. Ensure quality awareness of all personnel and implement quality into the day to day working practices.
4) Promote 'do-it right first time' culture where work is carried out according to quality standards specified in Quality Plans, specific client requirement, CONQUAS standard, whereby any reason or necessity for reworks is eliminated.
5) Establish and maintain calibration program for critical concrete and rebar testing and measuring instrument.
6) Prepare and maintain all related quality reports and records.
7) Liaise with the client, consultant, vendors, sub-contractors and other relevant parties on field / factory inspection issues pertaining to the quality issues.
8) Attend required interdepartmental meetings including providing relevant updates on the status of QC testing and to obtain and relay information which may impact the testing schedule.
9) Act as the key point of contact for testing requests and samples received internally.
10) Act as the QC representative for regulatory or third party inspections.
11) Issue QC metrics for internal tiered meetings including quarterly QC review meetings with management.
12) Understand all relevant documentation pertaining to the project including scope of services, project execution plan and project schedules.
13) In-charge of e-filing of shop drawing, to control and distribute latest approved shop drawing to production and QC team.
14) Select CONQUAS component, monitor and control CONQUAS procedure.
15) Participant in internal project meetings with production department.
16) Track quality performance, carry out analysis and propose recommendations for management review.
17) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management and the designated manager.
18) Willing to work on Sundays and Public Holidays, if require.
19) Experience in Singapore precast projects is an advantage.
