Job Description 18 ! The number of countries supported by FRA Operations Team that delivers financial reporting and accounting services, financial compliance and process expertise in the areas of Record to Report, Request to Pay, Travel and Expense and Invoice to Cash. As part of the Novartis FRA Operation team, this is a new role waiting for you to make change happen.As a R2R Specialist, you will provide expert advice to superiors for a sub-area within FSC and related key activities; to ensure compliance with external and internal accounting reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.Your Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Provide timely, proactive support on the general ledger. Maintain accurate and timely fixed asset information in the fixed asset register including assets under construction and depreciation calculations.• Prepare analysis or reporting with particular emphasis on accuracy, compliance and timeliness of data provided (i.e.: reports on profit and loss activity).• Provide all data needed for internal (Financial Consolidation and Reporting System) and external reporting (including statutory accounts, national statistics and tax information) in a timely and accurate manner.• Provides ‘first line support’ on SAP issues including fixed assets, cash and general ledger.• Contribute to key projects at country or BU level. Coordinate learning programs and curricula, understand and document processes and effectively use Learning Management Systems and related tools. For web-based learning, manage the setup, testing, deployment and updates of curricula across the global enterprise environment.• Drive collaboration and continuous improvement in a matrix environment, including regular feedback on processes and systems, exception handling and customer feedback. Manage communications with business/HR partners, participants, managers and facilitators throughout the process, including use of social media. • Monitor and report on registration and completion status and take appropriate action. Respond to queries and manage issues relating to the learning programs and Learning Management Systems.• Assist program owners in annual and on-demand planning including budgets and financial reporting. Manage vendors and providers, search for program locations, agree on fees and conditions and ensure purchase order, invoice and payment processing. Track costs and collaborate in cross-charging to the business. Minimum requirements • Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting / Finance.• Min 3 years of experience in General Ledger and reporting. Has high understanding of General Ledger accounting processes and information systems.• Experience working in a Shared Serviced Environment.• Experience in using SAP is preferred. • Intermediate knowledge in Excel.• Proficient in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) as this role will required to support the China region.• Able to examine and interpret financial data and has good analytical skills.
