Regulatory Stewardship Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW The Product Regulatory Stewardship Specialist will be responsible for all regulatory compliance for the H.B. Fuller’s SEA, Australia, New Zealand and India business. Duties include new product registration; preparation and maintenance of product safety documentation; regulatory agency reviews, and approvals for new products. In this position the ability to collaborate and communicate across disciplines, functions and regions is highly valued. PRIMARY DUTIES This individual will be involved in a variety of regulatory activities, including: Authoring (Material) Safety Data Sheets for customers using SAP and H.B. Fuller systems to meet GHS requirements. Ensuring regulatory compliance in SEA, ANZ and India according the requirements of regulations. Classification and Labelling of finished products according to GHS regulation. Liaising with the regulatory and product safety departments of strategic customers, studying their internal clearance processes, and delighting customers via personal and friendly regulatory support. Seeking out and reporting as appropriate to business and technology teams on industry/government news (going beyond chemical regulatory and into world and application trends). Developing relationships with AP regulatory colleagues and working together in a collaborative manner. Staying current with global regulatory trends in SEA, ANZ and India in an effort to provide support to our customers. Interpreting global regulations and determining how the regulations affect our raw materials, formulated materials, customer applications, and the product’s end use. Innovating efficient processes to respond to customer support questions, quickly. Contributing as a member on one or more cross-functional teams. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s or above Degree in Science, Engineering or Health related field with a Chemistry foundation 2+ years’ experience in a technical/regulatory role with SDS authoring and/or other regulatory responsibilities Ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with all levels of management within a team environment on a variety of programs and projects. Demonstrated ability to initiate and lead projects or initiatives to a successful outcome. Well organized. Able to work under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines with strong follow through. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with SAP applications Knowledge on (M)SDS authoring software and databases MS Office PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT General office environment Travel up to 10% may be necessary
