Skills and Experience required
- A diploma or above holder, preferably in a relevant field
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and procedures
Your Role
You will be responsible for daily operations of the ‘Star Buffet’ Restaurant in Canberra, main duties may include:
- Liaise with Club management and ensure food service standard according to the Catering Agreement
- Oversee buffet line setup and assure that all food and cutlery items needed are available and well presented
- Ensure production and dining facilities comply with safety and health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
- Liaise with Chefs regarding menu revision, food quality, special order and function needs
- Communicate with guests and receive feedback; handle complaints and special orders to ensure guest satisfaction
- Organise, lead and motivate the operation and catering team, including staff recruitment, training, supervision and rotas planning, etc.
- Direct cashiers to ensure the registers are checked and all takings are handled according to directive
- Plan and organise special functions, and may take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
- Maintain stock levels and order new supplies as required
