Safety Officer

Job Requirements: - Diploma / Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent - A green book holder with valid license certified by DOSH or have attended and completed Safety & Health Officer Course (SHO) from a recognized Training Institute - Willing to travel to our operating factories - Minimum of 2 -3 years of experience - Prior experience in Furniture Manufacturing will be an added advantage Job Responsibilities: - To advise the employer and employees / area owner for workplace safety and health continuous improvement plan - To be the secretary of the safety and health committee as specified under sub-regulation 6 (2), Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996 and perform all the functions of a secretary as specified - Develop, plan, organize and implement Occupational Health, Safety Management system programs - Conduct safety audit, workplace inspection, awareness briefing, training and induction programs to promote safety awareness - Guide and support the Safety Committee in establishing system manual, policy and execution of safety programs - Conduct accident investigation, identify root of cause and advise corrective and preventive plans - Conduct Hazard Indentification Risk Assessment Risk Control (HIRARC) & Safety Operation Procedure at workplace - Responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing all employee's Safety at work - Implement preventive measures to manage Covid-19 in workplace - To assist and liaise with government officers / DOSH officers in carrying out his duties under the Act or any Regulations made under the act.TD Furniture was established in 2008 and is the largest furniture manufacturer in Perak, Malaysia.
