Senior/3D Artist Brand: SGK Company: Matthews International Malaysia Sdn Bhd Line of Business: SGK APAC Location: Penang, MY, 14100 #job-location.job-location-inline { display: inline; } POSITION SUMMARYThe Senior/3D Artist will be working within a dynamic and fast-growing 3D team, this role is a part of a very creative section of the business. This role is responsible for producing a variety of 3D images for our clients' productions - for some of the biggest brands in the world. This role requires exceptional realism and quality modelling, texturing and lighting skills. Senior/3D Artist can help bring new ideas to life through top-notch visualization and design skills. He or she will work closely with the Creative Director to come up with cutting edge and innovative designs using the resources that are available. The Senior/3D Artist is able to multitask and work efficiently while also bringing new ideas to the table and thinking outside the box. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES• Production of photorealistic renders of our clients packaging and products.• Visualization of packaging concepts working from design sketches.• Creation of libraries of 3D meshes for common packaging types.• Assist in management of render farm and queue management.• Interpretation of supplied CAD data into photorealistic renders.• Application of Photoshop post work to rendered scenes as required.• Proactively anticipate and resolve issues with supervision.• Additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in 3D, Arts, Graphic Design or related field.• 4+ years of previous commercial experience in a 3D production environment will be an added advantage.• Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.• Required software skills: Autodesk 3DS MAX, VRAY, Adobe Creative Suite.• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.• Ability to work overtime as necessaryPHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. • Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.• The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.SGK is a global packaging and brand experience company.
