Brief:
We are hiring for Senior Account Executives (open to Malaysians only) who are looking to build their regional accounting portfolio and exposure.
Each successful candidate will be trained at our HQ in MKA Group, Puchong and subsequently be based in Indonesia, Vietnam and/or Thailand for a 2-3 years regional assignment.
This role will be instrumental in managing and maintaining financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
The successful candidates are detail-oriented accountants who are willing to pick up the assigned country's accounting regulations, tax laws, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Manage and process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
Follow up on outstanding receivables and ensure timely collections.
Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders for payment confirmations and reconcile discrepancies.
Financial Reporting and Documentation
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards.
Assist with periodic audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
Tax Compliance
Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with the local tax regulations.
Ensure proper documentation for tax related matters.
Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
General Ledger Management
Record and maintain journal entries for general ledger accounts.
Reconcile balance sheets, accounts and sub-ledger balances regularly.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Cash Flow and Bank Reconciliation
Monitor cash flow to ensure adequate funds for operational needs.
Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in managing petty cash and expense reimbursement.
Internal Control and Process Improvement
Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
Support finance team with ad-hoc projects and reporting needs.
Collaboration and Communication
Coordinate with other departments to assist and support the country's overall business operations.
Communicate effectively with local banks, tax authorities and vendors.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management based in the MY headquarters.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Min 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a multinational environment.
Good knowledge of local accounting standards and tax laws.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
