The Role Responsibilities Strategy To undertake continuous monitoring of key controls to assess the proper functioning and adequacy of existing controls leading to effective risk management.Assist in coordinating facilitating and promoting understanding of Operational Risk and in implementation and management of Operational Risk within the Unit.Assist product heads and work in partnership with 2nd line defence to influence the development of an operational risk culture which is forward looking, risk based and customer focusIdentify, assess, monitor, escalate and report operational risks from respective business scope to both product heads and 2nd defense team in a timely manner. Business Identify opportunities for process improvements based on VoC and VoF, and deliver gap resolutionsLeads a variety of types of business process design initiatives.Trains others to identify and implement required infrastructure to support specific processes.Assesses potential implications of re-engineering for multiple functions or departments.Demonstrates mastery of re-engineering concepts, methods, and tools.Redesigns or enhances business processes to meet regulatory requirements.Participates in the design and implementation of a supporting organizational structure. Processes Quality Assurance: to make sure the quality assurance of operational risk controls in all units across all processes in the corresponding business area.Competency and Effectiveness: to be fully competent in control measure skills and methodology in conducting sample testing, quality checking, and monitoring; to be effective in identifying control process gaps, timely escalation of identified issues or risks, and effective actions to mitigate within the accepted timeframe.Ensure 1st Line risk ownership: to assist WM head or product heads truly own all risks in their business areas.Monitoring and escalation: To be responsible for monitoring all processes in the corresponding area and escalate any issues and risks to the corresponding control function area and business heads. Risk Management Support all control checks approved by Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) %26amp; be accountable for identification and escalation of potential risks and issues to senior management through appropriate governance channels and the Quality Assurance frameworkInform senior management and relevant regulators of serious regulatory breaches (or where risk tolerances have been breached) and ensure that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
