About the role The Senior HR Executive will perform core, process-oriented tasks relating to HR, Recruitment and HR Employee Services (inquiry response, data management, reporting, payments etc.). This role will have ownership of HR related processes for Kerry Shah Alam and is expected to operate reliably, managing queries professionally, and proactively thinking of solutions and continuous process improvements. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be someone who can be trusted to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, is approachable, has superior organizational and time management skills, and is able to juggle multiple tasks while meeting schedule requirements. Key responsibilities Partner with Operations Manager/ Head of Department for all HR related matters and to ensure the day-to-day administration of the Site Close collaboration with HR Shared Services, Global Mobility, Recruitment, IT & Facilities team to support end-to-end HR processes for employees, including but not limited to:Answering employee queries Managing employee updates in the system Supporting the Pre-boarding, On-boarding, Transfer and Leaver process Being the main HR Point of Contact for employees who are moving in/out of the site (Permanent Relocation/Assignment etc.); working closely to ensure smooth transition of employees Partnering with various stakeholders on employee events and communications Support HR driven projects on activities relating to: Reporting and Data Management On-site Training/Talks coordination Employee forums and events Process improvements Keep abreast of changes and updates of local employment laws Manage and ensure smooth execution of annual HR processes including but not limited to: Annual performance management Salary reviews Promotions Talent Reviews Maintaining employee’s information on Kerry’s HR system (SAP SuccessFactors) ensuring all data is up to date and accurate Maintain a proper record for attendance, medical leave, annual leave and other types of leave. Analyse the attendance trend. Prepare the monthly payroll and ensure any overtime calculations and payroll reconciliations are done prior to submitting the file to Payroll team Maintaining and revising the company’s employee handbook on policies and procedures Administering financial elements such as payroll, compensation and benefits and pension schemes for employees Qualifications and skills Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent in Human Resources or other related field, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar, HR Generalist role Good experience in dealing with employee issues, unions matters, labour laws and work relations (applicants should have prior experience working in a unionized environment) Must have prior experience working in manufacturing industry (MNC is strongly preferred) Previous experience in payroll reconciliation and submission essential Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization and be an independent and proactive learner with a positive attitude Problem-solving mentality & adaptability in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment Technically savvy in essential computer software (e.g. MS Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills in English
