Senior R&D Technician

Job Description Support supervisor and the team in the development of Long Term Development Asia (LTDA) group capabilities, which is in line with the function and objectives of the group.
• Carry out lab tasks on product research and development, including preparation of paint, application of paint, and mechanical studies (as assigned by chemist) • Perform weathering and exposure studies, which includes the preparation of weathering panels, instrument monitoring, and data recording • Assist chemist in implementations of standards, method development, as well as activities to improve work efficiency • Support analytical studies when necessary • Participate in routine lab housekeeping, 5S related matter, stock and equipment maintenance • Ensure and support workplace safety, and highlight unsafe conditions to EHS officers Qualifications At least 3 years working experience in technical role (advantageous if in coating and chemical Industry) Minimum SPM Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English Additional Information Capable of working independently and diligently to high quality standard Ability to plan and organise work to ensure the completion of assignments according to deadline Basic computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) Team player with positive attitude
