About the roleThe SHE Officer/Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's safety, health, and environmental programs.
This role involves ensuring compliance with SHE regulations, conducting risk assessments, and leading initiatives to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement comprehensive SHE policies and procedures.
Manage the SHE Committee and facilitate regular meetings.
Conduct and coordinate risk assessments (HIRARC), routine safety and environmental audits and assessments.
Lead and coordinate incident investigation and ensure timely closure of incident reports with corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with Company and legal SHE regulations (OSHA 1994, EQA 1974, Fire Service 1988, etc) and ensure staying updated on relevant latest amendments.
Develop, coordinate and conduct SHE training matrix and program for employees at all levels.
Promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental awareness within the organization.
Monitor and analyze SHE performance metrics and provide reports to senior management.
Liaise with regulatory bodies (BOMBA, DOE & DOSH) and ensure timely submission of required reports (mykkp and e-SWIS).
Oversee the maintenance and replenishment of safety equipment and supplies.
Liaise with Mondi HQ for the latest best practices and requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate SHE considerations into business operations.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Relevant certification by DOSH/NIOSH will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SHE management role.
In-depth knowledge of SHE legal requirements and relevant ICOPs.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
