SIGNALING ITC ENGINEER
Location: Kuala Lumpur
Purpose of the job
To plan, install, test and commission of the signaling system for the on-board system and support wayside activities.
Key responsibilities
1. Plan and schedule site ITC activities in accordance to the rolling programme. Prepare installation and test procedures and the test & commissioning plan / schedule appropriately that align with the master programme. Provide records/report and submit to customer on time with good quality.
2. Participate in the Factory Acceptance Testing in the lab/Factory and preparation of FAT plan. Participate in the planning activities as stipulated in the rolling program, test & commissioning plans and procedures.
3. Lead the T&C team to undertake site installation, testing and commissioning activities of Onboard ATC and Wayside systems, including Installation tests, Static test, Dyanmic test, correspondence test,System Acceptance Test, and System Integration Test and ensure that all interfaces to the signalling system are appropriately tested.
4. Ensuring that testing activities are carried out in a safe, timely, logical and cost effective manners. Consolidate test reports send to safety assessment and liaise with the assessor to pass the assessment.
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Mechanical or related fields.
• 8 + years relevant experience in Installation, test and commissioning experience in railway
signalling. Metro with CBTC experience is preferred
• Technical skills required: Vehicle Hardware Product, ATC System T&C, Train to wayside communication
• Area and Nature of Impact: Impact to the progress of the project execution
• Trouble shooting: Trouble shooting and log analysis experience is needed. Capable to make
decision at site
• Site coordination, customer liaison, public speaking and presentation with different stakeholders (ie. Customer, consultant, subcontractor, interface work packages contractors)
• Planning ,People Management Experience
• Liaise with Customer front line staff, sub-contractors
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera PM
• Willing to be based on site
• Willing to work on any shift
