General Summary of Posiiton
The Director, Global Sourcing is responsible for category management and leads strategic sourcing initiatives for Ansell Group. The role works closely with GBU/SBU, plants and other cross functional departments to develop category strategies, execute sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts, manage supply relationships and help plants to implement solutions that create business values for Ansell Group. This position reports to Vice President, Global Sourcing.
Responsibilities & Specific Accountabilities:
Develop Ansell Global category strategies using subject matter expertise, knowledge of GBU/SBU and plant requirements and alignment with supply chain strategies
As part of Global Sourcing leadership team, this role requires category expertise, knowledge of stakeholders’ requirements, analytical skills and negotiation skills
Lead development of Pipeline of Value (POV) savings initiatives in collaboration and alignment with cross functional stakeholders to meet expectations of value delivered by Global Sourcing
Lead or participate in global and regional sourcing initiatives using 7-step sourcing process (7SSP) to meet business requirements and maximize values for Ansell Group
Develop innovative approaches to sourcing while using analytics and processes to determine scenarios, benefits, risks and change management impact of each of these options
Perform category and supplier research to understand the market as part of sourcing initiatives
Lead or participate in negotiations of global or regional master agreements that result in preferential pricing, terms and conditions for Ansell Group.
Identify, classify, maintain, and protect files, documentation and sensitive information consistent with record handling and retention requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholder groups to ensure implementation of sourcing initiatives to realize procurement values
Develop global and regional Supplier Relationship Management by monitoring performance of all suppliers to ensure continuous improvement & development in quality of goods supplied and services rendered
Promote and ensure compliance to Ansell Supplier Code of Conduct, Policies, Compliances and standards including Contract Management, CSR and Sustainability agenda

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
Job Experience:
Preferred: 10+ years supply chain or procurement experience; regional work experience
Knowledge & Skills:
Working as a Global/Regional Team: Ability to work as part of a virtual global/regional team to collaborate across geographic and organizational boundaries to deliver better business results and share best practices across a global System
Data and Analytics: Ability to use data and apply robust analytics to model various business scenarios and analyze resulting cost, impact, risks, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions
Competitive Analysis: Knowledge of sources for competitive analysis including supplier and industry data to build competitive intelligence, inform business planning and optimize decision-making
Contracts and Agreements: Ability to read, edit and interpret contractual documentation. Knowledge of contract terms, applications and legal requirements, including the ability to manage performance to contracts and agreements. Ability to explain requirements contained in agreements. Knowledge of the types of agreements and the appropriate usage under various customer circumstances. Ability to explain, at a high level, the legal implications of a contract agreement. Ability to lead the process of completing and compiling agreements. Ability to insert contract language that operationalizes business relationships with suppliers to protect Ansell interests and withstand legal challenges.
