About the RoleWe seek a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team and the individual will work collaboratively with the team and key stakeholders to provide support, guidance and produce results, including (but not limited to) the following deliverables:
Prepare and maintain Hedge accounting including documentation, effectiveness testing and general preparation for BHP Group.
Actively identify and resolve financial reporting risks associated with Treasury entity reporting.
Monitor and manage hedging and FX exposures for deals using 3rd party Reval Treasury system.
Prepare monthly Treasury reports for month-end such as TB movement analysis, Hedge accounting roll-forward movement, debt, cash and interest reports and investigate variances.
Contribute to executive papers for Treasury management and Finance Risk Management Committee (FRMC).
Review general ledger account reconciliations and monitor resolution of issues for Treasury entities.
Prepare Treasury overlay for monthly Group level budgeting and forecasting.
Prepare Accounting & Reporting deliverables, including Treasury level and Group level Briefing.
Prepare and liaise with Group Reporting on issues and resolutions.
Perform and assess relevant internal controls, including SOX, and stewardship review activities to ensure a robust and dynamic control environment.
Ensure compliance to risk management policies and standards established by regulators and BHP Group.
Prepare Treasury-specific Group level financial report disclosures.
Prepare single entity statutory account, tax return and other compliance processes for Treasury entities.
Preparation of Share Awards monthly and half-yearly submissions to Group Management Reporting and coordination of responses to queries raised by Group Reporting and Group Management Reporting.
Timely modelling of annual share awards budgets and true-ups for BHP Group, including coordination of reviews and communications to the Regions/Assets to ensure share awards expense, reserves, and funding are recorded accurately in the accounting ledger at Group level.
Liaise with and provide information to various stakeholders (internal and external) such as Group Policy, Group Reporting, Treasury, external auditors.
Involve and provide support for Treasury and GBS R2A projects (e.g.
system changes, implementations, etc.).
Drives and support the continuous improvement initiatives through the implementation of BOS practices within Treasury & Share Awards team.
About YouTo be successful in securing this role, ideally you will have the following skills and experience:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree qualification in Accounting or Finance
- Professional qualification (CPA/ACCA/CIMA/CA), either completion or currently pursuing will be added advantage
Experience and Technical Competencies:
- Experience working with a large corporate or shared service function.
- Strong analytical skills focusing on accuracy, validation and problem solving.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen, risk management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Experience in engaging senior stakeholders and leading project team will be added advantage.
