As a result, the AWS GCR Strategic Initiatives (SI) team is looking for a Sr. Business Planning Manager (BPM). The SI team reports to the GM of Product Management and Strategic Planning (WWSO) and works closely with the GCR Country Lead to: 1) drive alignment for specific cross-functional strategic initiatives; 2) understand external market dynamics, identify addressable market in GCR, and build a plan to capture this with the aim of doubling it; 3) improve CN team’s visibility and communication with global teams in SEA; and 4) identify and execute strategic partnerships to drive non-linear business growth.
The Sr. BPM will work closely with Program Management and Market Intelligence, as well as partner with the GCR executive team, global WWSO team, OPS, and Finance to develop and review all strategic business reviews (recurring reviews such as W /M /Q , one-off decision docs, as well as OP1/OP2 planning). This role will also empower the department heads and key project/initiative owners across AWS GCR with Amazon working backwards mechanism support aimed at improving their ability to leverage the PR/FAQ process to facilitate internal decisions or new initiative reviews with GCR leadership.
This role requires a high-functioning individual who is comfortable with the following (not exhaustive):
· High degree of visibility with executive stakeholders both in GCR and WW
· Collaboration with Finance and Sales teams to maintain a clear narrative about past and upcoming business performance
· Exposure to a rapidly changing business that is the backbone for nearly all major innovations in the consumer tech landscape for the coming 10-15 years
· Ample opportunity to demonstrate Ownership and Deliver Results against tight deadlines
· A logical and structured environment that rewards long-term, strategic thinking
Basic Qualifications :
1. 5+ years of work experience in tech at a highly reputable and visible firm
2. Bachelors Degree from a reputed institution
3. Ability to manage expectations from multiple executive stakeholders across regions
4. Native fluency in English with business professional Chinese
Preferred Qualifications :
1. 8+ years of work experience in tech at a highly reputable and visible firm (preferably in China)
2. Data driven mindset, capable of using market trends and business metrics to create persuasive business narratives
3. Strong cross-cultural interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
4. MBA or graduate degree in management, finance, or a technical field (and/or PMP)
5. Experience in Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, and/or BD roles a plus
6. Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a highly matrixed, cross-functional, global organization
7. Ability to work under high pressure in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
