Subsea Engineer

Job Overview: The Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Engineer is accountable to provide specialist skills and knowledge in the areas of flexible pipeline and riser engineering.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

- Perform Analysis for SURF projects using industry standard software.
- Provide specialist skills and knowledge in the areas related to engineering and analysis including design codes related to Subsea engineering.
- Well experience in solving complex Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including pipeline buckling analysis, pipeline walking analysis, reeling and engineering critical assessment (ECA)
- Tender engineering support with emphasis on document review, preparation of subcontractor documents, CTR preparation, bid evaluation and vendor selection.
- Support Subsea projects and address various requirements for procurement, design and installation engineering/analysis.
- Assume responsibility for technical reports, design calculations, engineering analysis and interface with third parties including subcontractors and verification bodies.
- Required to attend and prepare for project progress meetings and departmental meetings.
- Experience related to design and analysis of subsea aspect including pipeline risers, pipeline, subsea structure and umbilical.
- Experience with industry standard software packages for design and installation analysis (E.g. Orcaflex, Crackwise, Abaqus).
- Good organization and communication skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet project deadlines

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree in Engineering discipline (Master Degree preferred)
- Between 3 - 5 years of industry experience related to SURF
- Registered professional/chartered engineer
