**The company**Our client is an established multinational electronic design and service provider that offers integrated and innovative technology and engineering design servicesReporting to the Vice President, Supply Chain Management in global office and the General Manager, the Supply Chain Director will demonstrate leadership to execute the regional supply chain strategy, driving the company's operational, financial, and business success through Supply Chain Management strategy and operations, and ensuring the effective of Supply Chain resource.**The Role**- Manage and direct the activities of personnel engaged in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (SCM) department to create and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective controls are in place.- Lead and support business units in direct communication with customers on all supply chain related matters to deliver customer satisfaction to achieve company's operational goals.- Ensure compliance with company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with purchasing and SCM functions.- Ensure the SCM teams are educated on applicable elements of customer contracts and ensure compliance with respect with those elements.- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer flow-downs.- Accountable for adherence to cost reduction and inventory turn targets, oversee Sales and Operations Plan (S&OP), and optimize supply and capacity flexibility, and resolve cross-functional issues.- Work directly with customers to gain an understanding of their business and supply chain requirement and to streamline end-to-end supply chain processes and responsiveness.- Oversee purchasing and/or contracting for materials, supplies, equipment, and services for Thailand operations and work with respective parties to find sources, prevent shortages, and resolve issues.- Establish and maintain purchasing practices and policies to ensure honest, fair, and ethical vendor relationships and inform legal matters that affect purchasing policies accordingly.- Develop, establish, and maintain data and parameters related to the Purchasing and SCM functions.- Collaborate with site operations and regional International Procurement Office (IPO) management to achieve financial objectives and demonstrate continuous improvement.- Maintain optimum inventory levels to meet customer requirements and minimize carrying costs, premium transportation charges and maximize inventory turnover.- Establish key programs or projects to reduce costs and lead times, resolve quality issues, and increase supply dependability and flexibility.- Develop high performance teams by interviewing, hiring, and training employees, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, address complaints and resolve problems.- Execute staff development with focus of evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensure employees receive development and coaching required.- Provide support to the sales team by presenting materials in sales pitch, and customer meetings and interactions.- Ad-hoc tasks and duties assigned by the superior.**The requirements**- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent.- 12+ years of experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.- Proven leadership experience of at least 5 years in a director role.- Strong knowledge and foundation in Purchasing, especially in the electronics OEM / EMS industry.- Experience using ERP tools (MAPICS, Baan, or equivalent)- Strong customer service and client focus.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Able to work independently and have effective multitasking skills.- Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.- Effective analytical, planning, and organizational skills.Pay: RM20,000.00 - RM25,000.00 per monthSchedule:- Monday to Friday**Education**:- Bachelor's (preferred)**Experience**:- Supply chain management: 10 years (preferred)- Purchasing: 10 years (preferred)- Director Role: 5 years (preferred)
