The Role The purpose of the Regional Supply planner role is to support the Supply Planning function by ensuring the correct inventory is moved from Source to destination location (although may not have direct control over order execution). This role will also coordinate any communication of stock availability information to Customer Service to orders placed by MD or Aviation customers. The Regional Supply planners will also be responsible for ensuring the correct replenishment parameters are in the system to drive the most appropriate inventory holdings for their portfolio and should liaise with the relevant buffer managers on a regular basis.
Review of Inventory targets and planning data: operationally accountable person that ensures that for the supply portfolio all replenishment planning parameters are understood, reviewed and maintained. He/She owns the setting of the stocking strategy, Lead time, Lot size and other relevant replenishment parameters.
• Ownership and management of inventory: will monitor and respond to inventory levels for the full planning horizon against targets defined (e.g. inventory days cover) for the supply portfolio. He/she continuously improves supply chain optimization, inventory holding (including warehouse capacity consumption/utilization) and customer service (e.g. OTIF and reviewing CSI). He/ She is accountable for Identifying and eliminating waste (e.g, preventing excess stock, identifying slow moving and potential obsolete SKUs) for their supply portfolio.
Chair weekly open order call with Customer Operations where held to communicate stock readiness for MacroDistributors to arrange pick up.
• Plays a leading role in engagement with Sales and marketing teams at OU to ensure required inputs and communicate suppy chain issues/initiatives
• Manage agreements on product portfolio and lifecycle management (via Regional PLM), delivery promise (via Country Ops and logistics) and demand planning (via Regional Demand Planning).
- Working Hours : Sunday to Thursday - 1pm to 10pm
- Supply Chain Professional with at least 5 years experience in Operational, Demand / Supply Planning and Scheduling
- Strong prior experience in analysing data and understanding of Lubes Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) operational capacity
- Good communication skills to people at all levels and interface with businesses outside LSC e.g. Sales and Marketing, Contract and Procurement, IBV (Intergrated Business Value) Team etc
- Ability to distil complex information and see the big picture
- Ability to identify and respond quickly to changing priorities and multi-task
