They deploy code up to 30 times more frequently than their competitors, and 50 percent fewer of their deployments fail.Center of Excellence (COE) for DevXOps under Digital Technology & Engineering, Group Digital Transformation consists of a group of multi-skilled software and systems engineers who develop e2e pipeline automation (CI/CD), containerization, cloudification, dev test automation (DevTestOps), dev security automation (DevSecOps) and evolve DevOps to achieve high velocity without compromising service reliability as well as to reduce Development and Operations friction. As a Sysops EngineerRHB Digital is producing an array of cool applications for the bank. We have infrastructures that will host these applications. These robust environments will be the consumed by the testers and developers for activities pertaining development and might as well stretch into production. A SysOps engineer will ensure the stability and reliability of the environment for their consumers through auditable manner.Being SysOps engineer, you're a part of the DevXOps. DevXOps are a collection of minds that observe the infrastructure and development of applications built by RHB Digital. You will be collaborating with DevTestOps, SysOps, DevDataOps, DevSecOps and also collaborate with the infrastructure guys along with the engineering teams. With these collective minds, you will ensure application built out of the pipeline will ship over to your environments ready for consumption.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the environment for non-prod environment for consumption of the engineering team. Sustain a robust and scalable environment for hosting backend and web applications developed by internal developers in RHB Digital. Sustain service reliability by upkeeping standards in environment management. Collaborate and facilitate product development and delivery process with the engineering team to improve reliability, stability and scalability of the builds. Improve Application Lifecycle Management of the product by having aggressive checks while delivering it frequently. Automate as much as possible. You may need to develop plugins for the tools. Identify and resolve problems related to the environment to ensure BAU. Bring production up to speed with reliable environment. Review contribution of others in contributing changes to your environment. Maintain the current environment while seeking the way to improve it from multiple perspective. Treat the environment like a product and serve its users in as-a-service mode. Your team ensures the developers and testers can use your product happily and you make sure by eliminating toils they won't need to bug you for manual intervention unless necessary. Prototype and implement shifting of digital workloads from on-premise VM to containers, and eventually to cloud. Provide support to environment related requests and inquiries in Digital. Ensure Confluence/Knowledge Management continuously updated with server/integration/connectivity knowledge
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - Technology/IT/Engineering.
1 year of experience in Systems or Software Engineering. Fresh graduates with passion to learn encouraged to apply. Essential (Required to start) Fluent in typing unix command in the terminal. Work with backend programs which are mainly java programs, built using maven Work with frontend applications which are mostly written in nodes Know how to containerize applications for the sysops gang to consume Understanding of networks, including subnets, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing. Have the urge of eliminating boring repetitive jobs Have a mindset of turning the whole process as Infra-as-Code Specific (Expectations to grow) Code in bash, Jenkinsfile, maven, gradle, groovy, java Jenkins, Sonarqube, Ansible, terraform as a basic CI/CD tools Able to explain microservice architecture. Knowledge in auditability and security Experience playing on AWS. We expect our people to learn fast with whichever cloud tech comes. Experience setting up and tuning monitoring to efficiently detect and predict issues, using tools such as Dynatrace, DataDog, Kibana and Elasticsearch. Understand of architecture in digital channel and banking Ability to manoeuvre through complex and restrictive banking technology landscape without compromising compliance or security. Ability to manage challenges around people dynamics and processes to achieve DevOps end-state goals.
