Job Description
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE?
Master data is a critical business asset with a high impact on business performance and decision-making. Well-managed, high-quality master data will enable the company to drive business results, whereas poorly controlled, low-quality data will result in higher costs and missed opportunities. This role will apply data governance best practices in the delivery of master data management services such that high quality (timely, complete, accurate, and consistent) master data is achieved, maintained, and used to drive business results.
The incumbent will be responsible for delivering master data management services across APAC by coordinating the efforts of the Master Data Analysis Team in Malaysia, which is made of 10-12 analysts. in Malaysia.
The Master Data Team Leader reports to the Global Master Data Steward and will work closely with other teams of Master Data Analysts in Costa Rica supporting NA, EMEA, and LAO regions to identify and generate synergies.
The current scope covers the majority of master data types (domains) including product, customer, vendor, material, and cost objects. The scope is unrestricted to expand in the future into any additional master data types where business value is identified.
WHAT ARE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?
Lead and develop a team of master data professionals providing master data management services to the business.
Provide support to the business managing master data effective and effectively to ensure proper controls, high master data quality, and efficient process performance is achieved in the below key duties:
Administer master data workflow tools and processes, providing first-line support to the business users.
Ensure full validation of master data according to data governance standards and rules.
Provide the first line of support to the business in investigating and solving master data issues.
Coordinate changes to master data where the business operation is impacted.
Undertake regular data cleansing activities to raise the quality of each record to target levels.
Following a merger, acquisition, or ERP implementation, ensure data quality standards are maintained through the data integration project by providing data quality consultation, coordination, and support.
Develop, seek endorsement, and maintain regional master data standards, rules, and processes that drive data quality and business value. Ensure these are documented and subject to strict change control.
Ensure all involved in master data maintenance processes are fully aware and in compliance and work with process owners where enforcement is required.
Drive value creation supporting the business through:
Positive influencing the business by leading training to internal customers, CI projects, or leveraging data, analytics, and actionable insights to deliver quantifiable results.
Generating consistency, efficiency, and productivity improvements by leveraging process improvement, standardization, and automation to generate white space across APAC in support of both the Consumer and Kimberly Clark Professional businesses.
Engaging regional stakeholders to drive awareness and identification of business use case scenarios that demonstrate the importance and ROI of sustained quality master data.
Work in partnership with ITS and the business teams to implement new master data technologies that enhance process efficiency and drive effective master data quality:
Represent the region on the global data governance council for regional data elements
Consult on the appropriate use (consumption) of master data in business processes and in technical solutions.

Key to your success in this role will be
Ideally educated to degree level
Demonstrated experience developing and managing talent.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a master data management discipline.
Relevant experience in at least one major business process (OTC, RTC, P2P, ATR, etc.).
Familiarity with a variety of software, hardware, networks, and applications relevant to master data.
A clear understanding of the technical aspects of master data and the business ROI of quality data.
A proven communicator with experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, dealing with complex issues, and influencing peers and senior managers.
Global VISA and Relocation Specifications:
K-C will not provide support for relocation of the chosen candidate for this role, if necessary, relocation will be at the candidate’s own expense. However, K-C will provide assistance and financial support to obtain immigration visas and work authorization for the chosen candidate, if needed.
