Position: Technical Product Specialist (Matrix and 9510)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre-sales: Support sales for technical product promotion Advise Sales Support (CSR) for product configuration definition (configuration owner)Drive/Coordinate evaluation machines to ensure successful evaluation by customer
Post-sales: Own resolving major technical multidisciplinary issues (task forces for MCBJ, etc.) Ensure feedback to and from engineering/R&D (Close the loop)Ensure deployment/standardization of new solutions & promotion to customers/sales
Product Management and Development Participate to the Product roadmap definition & design reviews (platforms & features)Drive competitor technical assessment to support design technical choicesAlign product standardization with engineering, industrialization and product managementAlign product improvements projects to key customer priority's and commitments
Supporting Matrix and 9510 systems
Perform additional duties as assigned
Up to 40% travel as required, both domestic and international.
Supervisory Responsibility: Provide technical guidance to other employees in multi-disciplinary functions. May provide leadership and training to Digital Handler employees.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A Bachelor degree is required or equivalent combination of education, training and related technical semiconductor test equipment experience
Experience: A minimum of three years (Product Specialist) or a minimum of eight years (Sr. Product Specialist) of experience as a field or technical customer service engineer/technician or systems engineer is required; at least three of those years’ must be involved in the technical installation, repair, upgrading, servicing, troubleshooting, problem analysis and resolution of semiconductor test equipment at factory and customer locations. Technical knowledge and experience in an engineering or other technical/customer/product support role is required. Experience with Cohu DTH semiconductor test equipment is preferred
Skills/Technical Requirements:
Strong leadership, teamwork, communication & cross-group collaboration skills
Must be able to proactively drive and resolve technical issues with handlers with minimal over sight from management
Must have strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills, including ability to interact and work directly with multiple departments across the company
Marketplace knowledge of key industry players and competitors helpful
Expert level technical experience with automation equipment or semiconductor test/inspection equipment required, preferably with pick and place equipment
The ability to work well with all levels of employees and management, and to be self-motivated and flexible
Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems is required
Job Conditions:
Domestic and international travel required up to 40% travel
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, passport and automobile insurance.
Physical Demands/Strengths:
Ability to stand for up to eight hours. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
