A global technology leader specialising in Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) is growing fast across SEA, and hence has a Territory Account Manager (AIDC) job for a capable candidate to be based in Malaysia.

About the Territory Account Manager (AIDC) Role:
This is an important role in the organisation’s business growth within the Malaysia region. You will develop key channel partners and distributors to assist you in developing sales within the Retail and Manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop sales in a specific territory by serving existing customers, promoting products and concluding orders

Map potential prospect customers in territory by listing customer needs and current suppliers

Meet portfolio revenue, volume and price targets

Develop knowledge on clients and understand clients’ decision-making process and role of stakeholders

Gather information on client midterm marketing plan/strategy (new product launches) in order to anticipate client future needs/expectations

Work closely with customer and potential customers to understand their needs and marketplace direction

Prepare/present sales proposals and contracts reflecting pricing guidelines

Ensure contract negotiation and contract execution with proper follow-up

Responsible for sales forecasting

The successful Territory Account Manager (AIDC) will need to be business development focused and eager to expand business within a growing market. You will need to have experience within the related industry (data capture, barcode readers, sensors, POS systems, etc.) with experience selling into the Retail and Manufacturing market.

Key Requirements:

At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related

Minimum of five years’ sales experience in the Manufacturing industry with strong networking and contacts with Manufacturing end users

Relevant exposure in automatic data capture/barcode reader/sensors industry

Good commercial knowledge in statistics and market analysis for the local market with strong channel management experience

Strong command of the English and local languages in Malaysia

Solid domain knowledge to develop Retail industry and/or the Manufacturing industry
