Description
To develop and introduce new products (tire) into the market according to the requirement books and meet the end consumer expectations from the project start up together with the other project team members until the introduction of the new product in the market. This includes;
• Taking over responsibilities for product lines.
• Workpackages in running development projects incl. ensuring the defined targets e.g. product performance, costs or timing.
• Further development of existing product lines on demand of internal / external customers.
• Introduction of new products into production, in close cooperation with other departments.
• Set up and evaluation of necessary tire tests.
• Documentation and presentation of new products / results.
• Discussion of new developments within R&D (networking).
• “Translate” Market & Customer requirements into requirement books for the product development.
• Analyse the market to understand the technical requirements for the product, e.g through competitor analysis, market field trips etc
• Taking over the project leadership for the development of new products.
• Setting up the structure to develop new products incl.: team members; target competitors; technical requirement book; development strategy
• Coordination and administration of project work
• Planning, administration and steering of the project results concerning quality, timing and costs.
• Continuous coordination with the management (steering committee), at least at the project milestones.
• Support the marketing activities, which are necessary for the product launch.
• Support/set up technical product fact books and presentations for e.g. product launch events of the particular tire lines
• Introduction of new products in the market that are developed according to either requirement books and the end consumer needs
The project leader has also product responsibility for active running products; this means the continuous observation of the produce-ability, the product performance and responding on occurring problems and is responsible for continuous improvement when necessary.
Worldwide networking between central R&D and Marketing in Asia-Pacific and all involved international markets would require good skills in working in an international environment
Qualifications
• University graduate (Bachelor) in Engineering or Science field
• Willingness to travel and stay abroad (3-6 moths) for training purposes
• Work experience (less than 3 years) especially abroad or in an international environment is highly welcomed
• Capable of team work, self-driven work approach
• Excellent English command.
