An exciting Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor job has just become available at one of the leading electronics multinational manufacturing and production firm to be based in Penang. Reporting directly to the Materials Manager, this is a role for a talent who is a leader in their field.
About the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor Role:
This is a great opportunity for the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to oversee the warehouse management and logistics functions to ensure effective management of warehouse operation; logistics and trade compliance operational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the overall warehouse and logistics operations including receiving, warehousing/inventory control, pick-pack-ship, and distribution of raw material, components, supplies, and finished goods inventory
- Maintains inventory accuracy with appropriate materials transactions. Communicate schedules release data and all other logistics/materials requirement information to buyers, planners, manufacturing, and other teams
- Administers import and export customs policies, tools, and guidelines in line with corporate guidelines and policies. Ensures site complies with local regulatory rules and regulations
- Accountable for local customs/governmental import and export statistical reporting requirements and compliance to governmental classification and regulatory licensing requirements
- Manages daily site logistics operations, processes, workflows, and escalation management through proactive interaction with key stakeholders including manufacturing, planning, order fulfilment, materials management, and other supply chain teams
- First point of contact for local site operational escalations involving transportation, warehousing, brokerage operations, and packaging, and creating issue resolution To succeed in the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor job, you will need to have the ability to work on your own initiative and possess a keen understanding of the full spectrum of supply chain.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred with supply chain management or related courses
- Minimum of five to eight years’ warehouse management and logistics supervisory experiences in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading operational teams involved receiving, warehousing/inventory management, and distribution of materials, supplies, components, equipment, and finished goods
- Knowledge in WMS, ERP and Microsoft office (especially excel). This firm needs no introduction and is recognised as the leader in their field of expertise. The culture is demanding as it is a new start up but if you are confident and have a can-do attitude the potential rewards are significant.
