Job Description Fabricate new metal components in accordance with product data sheets and in compliance with all applicable standards of safety (OSHA) and performance.Repair metal components to restore full functionality and safety performance.Solve problems and develop innovative solutions to novel situations that require a fresh approach while still maintaining required standards of safety, stability, and security.Maintain tools and equipment to a professional standard. Keep workstation clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment.Coordinate workflow with other members of the team.Execute welds in a professional manner, examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements)Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be weldedAlign components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp piecesWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gapsWork independently or with a team of maintenance workers & management. Manage workflow, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot problems daily, in addition to fabrication duties.Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresTo perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by the management from time to time.QualificationsMinimum SKM in Welding5 years of experience as welder in foundry, fabrication yard, shipyardExperience in using welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead) and procedures (MIG, GTAW, TIG, MMA/SMAW, Stainless Steel, Aluminium welding and etc)Experience in automatic & semi-automatic welding process
