Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

To act as a vital liaison, point of contact, advisor and mentor between young talents and Maxis to attract young talents to join Maxis. Work seamlessly in a cross-functional role between both key stakeholders; internal and external to drive and execute aligned goals and ambitions for future and current young talents in Maxis. Drive new, innovative and relevant young talent development programs within Maxis to support our young talent retention strategy.

What are you accountable for?

Be the focal point of contact between Maxis and potential interns from both local and overseas universities to attract more interns to join Maxis and also act as the “go-to” person for any advice or queries from internal stakeholders on the internship program from role information, recruitment timeline and procedures and managing relevant administrative tasks in a timely manner
Drive internship process improvement projects to encourage efficiency and effective execution in all areas in internship management (recruitment, on and off boarding, training, performance management etc)
Play an active role in liaising and engaging with relevant stakeholders at universities and talent partners to drive activities and events to elevate employer branding opportunities for Maxis and be recognised at the employer of choice amongst young talents
Take a lead in working with strategic partners to device and curate attractive and beneficial young talent workshops, events, activities and programs to help build a strong and steady talent pipeline for Maxis
Vital support role in co-designing, enhancing and rolling out young talent development programs in Maxis under the Young Talent Program umbrella (Internship, Scholarship, Graduate Programme) to ensure programs are attractive , relevant with successful outcomes
Lead and drive programs and activities/events for the internal young talent community in a mentor, advisor and coach capacity.
Work closely with other stakeholders (for eg. Employer Branding) on key messaging branding materials, social media and advertorial campaigns for all Young Talent programs for internal and external audiences
Support ad-hoc request, administrative tasks relevant to Young Talent Programs in Maxis

What do you need to have for this role?

At least 8-10 years of relevant professional working experience with proven and direct experience working with young talents in an advisory, coach, mentor or supervisory capacity. Having worked in an education industry is an added advantage and proven work experience as a YT mentor, coach or widely recognised within the HR YT network for relevant activities and engagements.
Event Management or facilitation of activities or workshops with YT either as a mentor, coach, or supervisor capacity
Experience in YT-centric program design and framework
Highly knowledgeable in the education industry especially universities both locally and overseas with established networks across campus career advisors or reps
