Accountant I Financial (General Ledger)

**Basic Job Functions**:**Education/Experience**:- Bachelorette degree in finance or accounting (required)- Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, or other related fields (preferred)- 1-2 years combined experience working for a public company and/or a public accounting firm with relevant experience in financial accounting, general ledger, month-end close, consolidation, and intercompany accounting.**Required Skills/Competencies**:- Aptitude and willingness to learn and develop skills- Highly motivated, accountable, results oriented- Solid critical thinking and analytical skills- Resourceful and comfortable working with ambiguity**Essential Responsibilities**:- Prepare journal entries, including entries related to accruals, prepaids, cash clearing, derivatives, marketable securities, warranty, and recycling obligations- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations- Perform ad-hoc analysis and tasks related to month-end close- Record inter-company cross-charges, balance netting, and settlements- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements with associated footnotes and schedules- Identify issues and bottlenecks in process execution and highlight them to senior associates- Other duties as assigned.- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environment, Health and Safety and Responsible Business Alliance policies and procedures that is enforced within the organization.
