This is an exciting opportunity to join ZALORA’s Business Services in Malaysia as one of its key leaders. He/She will be responsible in the delivery of the Record to Report (R2R) routine task and R2R projects. This role is reporting to the Accounting Manager. Your focus will be on Record to Report (80%) and Project Management (20%). The role is based in our Kuala Lumpur office.Responsibilities:Record to ReportResponsible for preparation of month-end journals for monthly closing.Prepare monthly financial statements and statutory financial statements for Zalora Cluster entities.Prepare ad-hoc analysis or reporting request from various stakeholder within the requested timeline.Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation schedules.Liaise with tax department on the tax computation and answer all the tax queries.Prepare inter-company matrix.He/She would be the subject matter expert on inventory. He/She would be liaising with various departments (ERP, Data, Commercial, Ops, Local Finance Teams) on inventory related matters.Prepare all the compliance requirement document and submit to the relevant authority on time.Project ManagementCo-ordinate with ERP team, Data team and other stakeholders for any commercial projectsReview the accounting impact and SAP process flow for new initiatives/projects Requirements: Fast learner, well organized, emotional management, stress management and motivational skills are essential due to complexity of the operation environment and diversity of working relationships.Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant with affiliation to professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA and MIA.At least 3 years of Big 4 Audit firm experience.Knowledge of SAP system will be an added advantage.Knowledge of inventory operation or e-commerce will be an added advantage.At least 2 years of commercial experience in month end closing and reporting.Good working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Flexible with overtime during month-end closing period given the tight deadlines.Advanced excel and SQL skills highly preferred (able to handle big data).A self-starter who can organize and take initiatives to meet job objectives and deadlines independently.Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work.Have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google sheetsHigh attention to detail and accuracy The ZALORA StoryZALORA is Asia’s leading online fashion, beauty and lifestyle destination, part of Global Fashion Group.
