Job DescriptionThis position is part of the Corporate Accounting Center of Excellence and will be based in Penang, Malaysia. The COE group manages end-to-end accounting work from journal entry (JE) posting to general ledger reconciliation, handling intercompany transactions together with transfer pricing accounting entries.Looking for an accountant for JE COE and MDG, the scope included below but not limited to:Flawlessly execute operations and close activities, preparing, reviewing Manual Journal Entries and processing requests.Gathering data from various sources and performing analysis or risk assessments.Drive operational/financial issue resolutions, ensure stakeholders requests are attended on timely manner Continuously monitoring and evaluating the processes and support different initiatives towards operating model and transformation.Independently evaluates accounting and reporting and recommends solutions to ensure the integrity of external and internal reporting.Plans, performs and schedules own work with general management direction.QualificationsFresh graduates or entry level candidates with Bachelor's degree or Professional Degree in Accountancy.Successful candidates must:- be able to communicate effectively- have strong analytical skills- business partnering or stakeholder management skills- be able to deal with ambiguity- be able to work independently- be able to communicate in a concise manner- be able to drive finance recommendations with people at different organizational levels and across business unit.Inside this Business GroupAs members of the Finance team, employees act as full partners in making and supporting business decisions that are aimed at maximizing shareholder value.
