Our client is a leading distributor and supplier of bulk-purchase of food merchandise of full range of canned food and vegetables to hypermarkets, chain stores and grocery trade in Malaysia. Throughout their business operations over the last two decades, they have the most trusted range of canned fruits and vegetable in the market. Currently they are actively seeking for an accounting staff to join their finance team as Accounts Executive.
About the job
The opening is permanent position at executive level working under the guidance of the company Accountant.
The main purpose of the position is to provide assistance and support to the Accountant in relevant aspects of accounting functions such as purchase and sales ledger maintenance, processing invoices, supplier reconciliation,bank reconciliation and inventory management. Part of the role and duties will be performing posting of the accounting information in the accounting system.
Main tasks and duties:
-Responsible for preparation of payment voucher,cheque and Banker Acceptance documents.
-Perform banks,suppliers,customers and inter-company reconciliation.
-Monitor,control and provide reports on cash book,Receivable collection and payable payments.
-Assist in preparation of monthly closing in management reports and Accounts.
-Maintain proper record keeping.
About the candidate
Malaysian male or female in age group 23-35.
Candidate for this role must possess minimum LCCI Diploma qualification in Accounting.
Candidate should have at least one to two years of accounting experience in trading/wholesale distribution accounts. Strong Excel and Mathematics skills are essential to succeed in this role.
This is an excellent opportunity for accounting candidate to gain experience and established themselves in an established renowned organization.
To be considered for this role, candidate must be proficient in spoken and written English besides conversant in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Chinese/Mandarin. Candidate should preferably have own vehicle to commute to the location as public transport is lacking in the area.
