Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting (Accounting)
Marin Selatan Sdn. Bhd. (MSSB) is Malaysia's preferred world-class solutions provider for all shipping, logistics and marine services. We were incorporated in Malaysia in 2007, initially set up as a provider of ship agency services and ship-to-ship refueling in Malaysia, before gradually moving towards acquiring product tankers to support as barges for operations. As a physical supplier of marine fuel, we are present in key areas of Malaysian waters, namely in the ports of Tanjung Pelepas and Klang.

Job Description: Scope of Work:
Accounts 1. To handle full set of accounts and related accounting functions.
2. Responsible for account GL, payable, receivable, data input and bank reconciliation and crew payroll.
3. Resolve accounting discrepancies and interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
4. Debtor and Creditor Reconciliations.
5. Prepare online payment for suppliers and expenses purposes.
6. To monitor and follow up customer's payment.
7. Ensuring all accounts are current and updated.
8. Meet accounting financial standards by providing department annual report.
9. Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process.
10. Liaise with local authorities, auditors, tax agents, bankers, and company secretaries etc. for statutory requirements.
11. Maintenance of proper accounting records and filing system.
12. Assist in supervising the accounting team.
14. Ensure all companies' documents are up-to-date, proper filling and well keep.
15. Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior from time to time.
Administration 1. Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.
2. Answer phone calls and schedules meetings.
3. Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
4. Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and
5. Maintain staff attendance and leave records.
6. Ensure all accounting records and documents are properly filed, labelled, and kept for reference.
7. Timely process and submit documents (invoices, claims, payments etc.)
Requirements: 1. Candidate possess an Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, bachelor's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, in Accounting or equivalent.
Candidates without academic qualification will be considered if they have the necessary experience. LCCI fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Preferably 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Self-starter, proactive, effective problem-solving approach, well organized. Possess pleasant personality, good interpersonal and communication skills. Have a sense of urgency, able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines. Adopt a continuous learning mindset and adapt to changes. Preferably able to start work immediately or at short notice.
