We are searching for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executive to join our team. Your role will be responsible for various financial activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger management, cash flow monitoring, monthly and yearly closings, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will assist in company budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Additionally, the ideal candidate should proactively identify areas for improvement to enhance financial reporting and accounting processes, leveraging the use of technology to improve productivity of finance operations. This role entails overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger management. This role involves handling monthly payments, monitoring cash flow, and preparing financial statements and reports as needed. Additionally, the position contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and analysis efforts to support management decisions. Ensuring compliance with company policies and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) is integral, along with actively driving process improvements and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for effective financial management and corporate governance. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Handle full set of accounts, review accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, bank reconciliations and inter-co reconciliations. Process monthly payments following approved procedures and guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance. Timely and accurate completion of all monthly and yearly closing activities. Monitor cash flow needs and ensure timely and accurate management of payables and receivables. Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports as required. Ensure compliance with MFRS and maintain consistency in applying accounting policies across the group. Assist in the budgeting process, including gathering relevant financial data, conducting analysis, and providing support for forecasting activities. Identify improvement areas and initiate changes to improve the financial reporting and accounting operational processes. Leverage technology to constantly improve productivity and quality of finance processes. Liaise with bankers, company corporate finance, auditor, tax agent on banking and financial matters. Handle other ad-hoc tasks compatible with the job description and objectives as needed. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in accounting, finance, banking, or other professionally recognized qualification such as ACCA/CPA or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of working experience in the related field with hands-on experience in spreadsheets and financial reports is an added advantage. Proficiency in both Mandarin and English is required for this role. Highly committed and capable of working independently or as part of a team, meeting tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, exceptional diligence, and a high level of integrity and ethical standards.
