Overview The role plays an important role in helping the company make commercial data-driven decisions and achieve its strategic objectives in relation to the product. The role helps to analyze product market fit, profitability and provide insights to stakeholders on the product and market.
This role is NOT a role for AI / ML scientists and require commercial analyst experience primarily.
Key Deliverables This role will be working closely with the GTM Director, who is responsible for supporting overall strategy and direction of a product; to support the planning, development, and execution of the product's lifecycle
Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats. Assess market dynamics, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform product strategy. Gather, analyze, and disseminate competitive intelligence, providing insights into competitor products, pricing strategies, and market positioning. Recommend strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Evaluate the existing product portfolio's performance and contribution to overall business objectives. Provide recommendations for portfolio optimization, expansion, or retirement. Collaborate with customer feedback channels and analyze customer insights to understand user needs, preferences, and pain points. Translate feedback into actionable strategies for product enhancement. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to align product strategy with organizational goals. Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments. Conduct financial analysis related to product performance, pricing strategies, and revenue projections. Provide insights into the financial implications of product decisions and contribute to budgeting processes. Contribute to the development of product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with market demands, technological advancements, and organizational objectives. Collaborate with product managers to prioritize features and enhancements. Participate in the formulation of overall product and business strategies. Provide data-driven recommendations to senior management for key strategic decisions related to product development and market positioning. Identify potential risks and challenges associated with product strategies. Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of product strategies. Regularly report on the performance of products and contribute insights for continuous improvement. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations relevant to the product domain. Provide recommendations on how to incorporate new technologies into product strategy. Effectively communicate product strategy insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various Competencies (Skills & Knowledge (experience) and Attributes) Minimum 5 years of working experience in business analysis/strategic planning, with a preference for SaaS business experience. Strong financial modelling skills, demonstrating excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities. Distinguished results in Mathematics and analysis tools is a must Proficient in stakeholder management and presentation skills. Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently within the team, with external clients, and higher management. Strong writing and presentation skills, with a mandatory strong command of English, both oral and written. Relevant certifications are advantageous (training, external certifications, etc.).
