Assistant Branch Manager, Seremban Branch Banking - Retail/Branch (Banking & Financial Services)
Manage the assigned branch, supports the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations of the branch, ensure branch complies with SOPs and statutory requirements, staff supervision, maximize the profitability and widen MBSB footprint across specific target customer segments. Ensure efficient and excellent customer service always maintained and promoting revenue generation activities amongst branch staff.
OPERATIONS To ensure the branch implements, attains all services, operations and/or business initiatives. To oversee & monitor the overall operations performance, operations of the service counter and to ensure smooth running of the front-office operations in accordance to compliance guidelines and Bank's policies and procedures. Monitor on branch transactions to avoid misconduct and report any suspicious activities. Perform Surprise Check on Security items such as Banker's Cheque, Cheque Book, Savings Passbook, etc. Monitor all types of transactions. Ensure branch passes the branch audit and compliance reviews and to ensure follow up is carried out to resolve outstanding issues. To ensure compliance and conversant with the internal procedures and guidelines of the Bank, statutory requirements by BNM and other requirement by relevant regulatory bodies. SALES FUNCTION Build up good relationship with depositors and customers with an aim to deepen customer's wallet. Assist the Branch Manager to deliver excellent customer experience and business profitability through smooth branch operations while adhering to both internal and external control standards. To drive the profitability business through high customer engagement and efficient operations while maintaining strict expense discipline to control costs. Contribute to lead generation activities (Tracked through Referral Management System - RMS). CUSTOMER SERVICE Administration and staff administration (in the absence of BM). Ensure branch delivers excellent customer service as per the STEP program. Attending to customer queries over the counter and through telephone. To manage resources and activities and ensure the high standard of customer service and operations standards are always maintained. Improve the customer's experience throughout their banking journey. To ensure there is sufficient manpower at all times and branch is to operate without any disruption. Maintain confidentiality of customers and Bank's information in a responsible manner. Maintain good rapport with internal, external customers, vendors, suppliers, local authorities etc. GENERAL Ensure cleanliness of working areas e.g. counter, banking hall, SST area, back office, store room, pantry, server room, prayer room, wash room and etc Ensure branch maintain proper filing of documents i.e. forms, correspondences, reports etc. Ensure customers' documents and information are well kept and comply with existing policies and procedures. Perform cross selling of bank products and services to generate fee income for the Bank. Attend training and complete e-learning as required by HR/Management to ensure staff are updated with knowledge and to avoid non-compliance/breaches to policies and procedures. Maintain good rapport/engagement with peers and superiors to harmonize the working environment. Carry out administrative functions at branches. To attend/ report any administrative matters such as building matters. OTHERS To perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when required by BM/Regional Operations Team/Head Office.
