Within HSBC Operations, Service and Technology, Global Operations focuses on delivering services to internal and external customers.
We are currently seeking experienced personals to take on the role of Assistant Manager Card Operations & Unsecured Lending.
Principal Accountabilities
- Lead plans and manages the overall operations team under the jobholder’s portfolio, namely; internal advisory/query management as well as maintenance. To create synergy in areas required to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness, in terms of maximizing the utilization of resources as well as maintaining operational cost at the most significant level.
- Jobholder should also support other business functions that require operational help (where necessary) in order to ultimately achieve the bank’s goals and objectives.
- One of the major challenges is to ensure that all sections within card operations are coordinated well. As the scope of card operations is wide where every point of contact interconnects and involves HSBC customers (directly/indirectly), jobholder needs to ensure that there are very minimal loose ends at every angle. Instances where a loophole is identified jobholder needs to act fast in decision making so as to not impact customer experience.
- Job holder must be able to control and mitigate risk that could impact customer experience caused by the external factor. This would relate more to the vendor management part of the job as they are considered uncontrollable factors. Nonetheless, making sure that vendors understand and are in line with HSBC objectives are very crucial in the vendor management aspect as they also (whether directly or indirectly) contribute to the overall customer experience.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations.
- Good understanding and knowledge of credit and debit cards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to a wide range of individuals and groups and at different levels of seniority.
- Self-starter with attention to details combined with strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results.
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment and manage continually changing priorities effectively.
- Project management skill will be an added advantage.
