**Accountabilities**:Day-to-day maintenance of the books by ensuring proper accounting, cost center and location coding in SAP Monthly closure of books in accordance with pre-defined timelines covering overall month-end procedures Design book closure checklist & process for monthly, quarterly & annual book closing and look for areas of continuous improvement. Handling statutory & internal accounts Assist in External & Internal Audit Maintain & update accounting control manuals, local financial policies and checklist for various finance process flows. Proactively assist in the annual budgeting process and the rolling forecasts. Supporting SOX 404 testing and internal controls agenda Own the monthly sales tax / GST returns filing after performing appropriate reconciliations. Assist in Fixed Asset Management & Internal Control Assessment. Be the SPOC for accounting policy changes & implementation. Assist in dealing with matters relating to taxation (income tax, GST etc.) and treasury (cash pool, cash forecasting, corporate credit cards etc.) To comply with GMP and continuously improve our Food Safety Programme To perform any ad-hoc tasks given**Critical Capability, Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:Bachelor's Degree in a Finance/Accounting related field+5 Years of relevant work experienceAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)Proficient knowledge of SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) and other financial planning systemsAttention to detail and strong analytical, decision making, and communication skills.Must be able to effectively communicate across all levels within the organization.Knowledge of P&L statementsKnowledge or experience in a cost accounting background or roleExperience working in a manufacturing environment.Experience with SAP-specific financial planning systems
