If you are a person with a relentless drive to succeed, a strong focus on quality with a passion for success – join us today!UCT is looking for a talented Assistant Manager, Purchasing to join us in Malaysia!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Strategic Initiatives: Drive sourcing strategy and execution that delivers a competitive advantage including implementation of the strategic supplier initiatives including supplier selection, development and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance.• Cost Management: Implement cost reduction program with suppliers, monitoring product and service quality and on-time delivery performance by key suppliers.• Data Management: Owns and manages the master data such as LT, AVL & SPQ/MOQ and cost setting as required in the SAP system.• Risk Management: Identifying & mitigating potential risks associated with supply chain disruptions, changes in market conditions/ other factors that could impact procurement operations• Supplier Relationship Management: Building & maintaining positive relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration, communication & long-term partnerships.• Others : Any other task assigned by superior as deem necessaryKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Strong purchasing knowledge including processes, tool, practices.• Good data analysis capability to identify issue, develop solutions and implementation• Good interpersonal and communication skills• Strong negotiation skills, fluent in drafting contract terms and conditions.• Self-directed being able to formulate activities and direction.Educational/Certification Requirement: Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management or its equivalentExperience Requirement: • Knowledge of MRP system will be advantageous.• Minimum 5 – 6 years' experience in manufacturing industry• Able to work in a fast paced environment• Proven work experience in Sourcing commodities packaging material and labels• Experience in project management, manufacturing and quality is considered a plus.At Ultra Clean Technology,?we do not just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!?Ultra Clean Technology is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
